The Central Bank of foreign remittances sales rose, on Thursday, to more than 194 million dollars.
During its auction of buying and selling US dollars, the Central Bank witnessed an increase in dollar sales by 0.46% to reach 217 million and 830 thousand and 263 US dollars; The bank covered it at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to last Thursday, when sales amounted to 216 million 481 thousand and 640 US dollars.
The bank's sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which rose significantly, reaching 194 million and 40 thousand and 263 dollars, while the remaining amount of 23 million and 790 thousand dollars went in cash.
And 30 banks met requests to enhance balances abroad, and 6 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 97 mediating companies.
