A member of the Coordination Framework and a representative of the State of Law coalition, Jassem Muhammad Jaafar, confirmed on Sunday that the forces of the Coordination Framework are coherent and their position is unified regarding the ongoing negotiations on forming the next government.
Jaafar said, in a statement to the "Information" agency, that "the State of Law coalition is within the coordination framework bloc, which is still strong and tight-knit, negotiating in the name of all its political forces affiliated with it, and there is no exclusion for anyone in the negotiations to form a government."
He added, "The State of Law coalition is neither weak nor dependent until someone places a veto on it regarding whether to participate in the government or not," noting that "the coalition is part of the framework, and if it turns out otherwise, we have the possibility to be strong."
Jaafar pointed out that "the coordination framework is unanimous in adhering to one position regarding (participation or non-participation), and he is keen that all parties meet in consensual coalition formations to prevent any case of deterioration of the political process."
Earlier, the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, confirmed that the coordinating framework is strong and coherent, his position is unified, and his practical ideas for forming the government and managing the state are based on partnership and the integration of its components all under the roof of the constitution.
