The Minister of Trade, Dr. Alaa Al-Jubouri, directed, on Sunday, the launch of a new meal from the food basket for orphanages, the elderly and people with special needs.
And the ministry stated, "in a statement received by (Mawazine News) a copy of it, that" Minister al-Jubouri directed the administration of the General Company for Foodstuff Trade to launch a new meal from the food basket for orphanages, the elderly and people with special needs in Baghdad and the governorates, and urgently.
Al-Jubouri stressed, according to the statement, that "the launch of the new meal comes within the framework of caring for these segments and meeting their basic needs of food to alleviate their suffering and according to the legal and humanitarian duty towards them.
He pointed out that" the meal includes 7 items, which are rice, flour, sugar, edible oil, chickpeas, paste and beans. Or lentils, which will contribute to meeting the needs of these segments.
The minister directed, "the owners of the General Company for Food Stuff Trading" to expedite the distribution of the meal in order to meet their needs.
Emphasizing, "at the same time," that the ministry has developed a plan under the guidance of the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, to secure food security, which comes at the top of the government's priorities, and to expedite the distribution of food basket items and deliver them to those entitled to those covered by the catering system.
Yesterday, Saturday, the Minister of Trade announced the launch of a new meal from the food basket to the displaced families in the camps to meet the needs of the displaced, in conjunction with the conditions they live in as a result of low temperatures and snowfall and its impact on their living situation, as well as directing the food company, to “distribute 2500 food baskets for poor families in coordination with the company investing in the food basket file.” Ended 29/R77
