The National Investment Commission announced, on Monday, that it has taken legal and administrative measures to control cases of "trading and brokering" in the prices of housing units in the Basmaya residential project recently, noting that a decision was taken to legalize property transfers until further notice and limit them to 100% payment. % until new instructions are issued in this regard.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, the head of the commission, Suha Daoud Najjar, said, "We would like to point out to the honorable citizens that the National Investment Commission has taken several legal and administrative measures to prevent cases of trading and brokerage in residential units of the Basmaya residential project, which recently caused a price hike of nearly 40% above Its actual price, which burdens the citizens of the real buyers with limited and medium incomes, for whom the project was established.
She indicated, "The authority, at the direction of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, and the cabinet vote, reduced the amount of the down payment for a housing unit from 25% to 10% of its total value, and for all spaces, and worked to extend the payment period in an effort to contribute effectively to solving the problem."
