The Saudi Minister of Commerce, Majid Al-Qasabi, suggested today, Monday, that the next Iraqi-Saudi Business Forum be held in Baghdad, while noting that the Saudi Crown Prince recommended him to be a minister in the Iraqi government.
Al-Qasabi said during the Iraqi-Saudi Business Forum held in Riyadh, "Iraq brings us together with it religion, blood, language and neighborhood, where the common borders extend over a length of 814 km," noting that "all the ingredients for growth and prosperity are present, and the political will and capabilities are present."
He added, "I suggest that the forum be annually, and that it be held next year in Iraq, but an agenda must be set to benefit from and develop the forum."
And he continued, "The Crown Prince directed me to be a minister in the Iraqi government, and for my performance evaluation to be in the hands of the Iraqi prime minister, in confirmation of the depth of relations between the two countries."
He pointed out that "many Saudis and Iraqis are ignorant of the opportunities between the two countries, so it is necessary to identify opportunities and exchange knowledge and experiences between the two countries," stressing "the importance of translating recommendations and decisions into actions." finished 29/h
