The Department of Mine Action, the Southern Regional Center, announced that the Danish ambassador, Stig Paolo Piras, informed the reality of pollution in the Shatt al-Arab district within the Basra governorate, and the survey and removal work carried out by the Danish DRC organization.
The Director General of the Mine Affairs Department, Engineer Dhafer Mahmoud Khalaf, said that Mahmoud received today the Director of the Southern Regional Center, Eng. Nibras Fakher Al-Tamimi, to the Danish ambassador and the accompanying delegation during their visit to one of the agricultural sites contaminated with war remnants in the Shatt Al-Arab district, which is assigned to the Danish DRC by the Mine Affairs Department. conducting survey and disinfection works.
