The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, called on the local administration in Najaf Governorate to develop a plan that prioritizes the governorate's needs for projects of importance that directly affect citizens.
A statement by the secretariat, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Al-Ghazi confirmed during his meeting with the Governor of Najaf, Dr. Majid Al-Waeli, in the presence of the Director of the Reconstruction Authority and the Police Commander, that the success of the experience of following up the lagging projects in Dhi Qar Governorate, and the formation of the Reconstruction Fund in it, encouraged to transfer it to Najaf governorate, and the rest of the governorates.
Al-Ghazi indicated, according to the statement, that the Iraqi government is determined to provide all means of support and harness its capabilities; In order to advance its service and economic situation, due to its religious and historical status, and that he will personally follow up the file of reconstruction and provision of services directly with the Governor and the rest of the service departments.
He stressed the need to take care of the old city and its streets, prepare modern designs for the entrances to the governorate associated with neighboring governorates, and deliver basic services to all districts of the governorate, as well as working to include all districts and districts of the governorate, with projects according to importance and actual need.
He indicated that the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers will work in direct coordination with the relevant institutions; To provide all kinds of necessary support, for the reconstruction process.
