[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]On Sunday, the Kurdistan Democratic Party accused the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, of trying to obstruct the parliament session to elect the President of the Republic, indicating that Salih had already realized his loss.
Party member Rebin Salam said in a televised interview that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, put obstacles in the way of holding the session to choose the new president, as he realized his loss in advance when he went to the Federal Court."
Salam added, "The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, welcomed any figure Barzani would nominate for the presidency," explaining that "Barzani's initiative is in line with the decision of the Federal Court."
He pointed out that "there is no dispute between the Sadrist bloc and the Democratic Party at all, and what happened is that a political party has slowed down without withdrawing, and that negotiations are underway between all parties to resolve the crisis." End / 25 D
