On Thursday, the General Directorate of Electricity Distribution of Sulaymaniyah Governorate explained the reasons for reducing subscribers' quotas to 30 amperes per family during the last period.
The Director General of Sulaymaniyah Electricity, Salar Husam Al-Din, said in a statement that during the past month, due to the temperature dropping below their rates in the governorate and as a result of the pressure on electric energy during the cold wave, the processing hours did not exceed five hours per day, so the Sulaymaniyah Electricity Directorate decided to reduce the amount of equipment From 40 amperes per family to 30 amperes, with the aim of increasing the processing hours for citizens.
He added that the processing hours during the coming days will increase to 10 hours per day due to our approach to the fall season and the mild temperatures in this season, stressing that the processing hours decrease only in the winter season, due to the large loads on electrical energy.
Salar pointed out that the region produces about 3,700 kv of electrical energy, stressing that if production increases, processing hours will increase.
