A Foreign Ministry statement said that the head of the International Organizations and Conferences Department, Abbas Kazem Obaid, met with Chinese Ambassador Zhang Tao, today, Thursday, at the Foreign Ministry building, on the occasion of the end of his work in Iraq, to express his country's thanks to Iraq for its supportive stances to China.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed topics of common interest, especially those related to files of mutual support and coordination of positions on issues raised in international organizations.
The head of the Organizations Department stressed the depth and history of relations between the two countries in all fields, and the importance of strengthening them to serve the interests of both countries./End 2[/rtl]
