, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi discussed with the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Youssef Al-Dubaie, on Wednesday, the activation of Iraq's role as a founding member state of the organization.
Al-Kazemi's office said in a statement received by "Mawazine News", that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi received, today, Wednesday, the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Yousef bin Muhammad Al-Dubaie, and his accompanying delegation."
The meeting witnessed, according to the statement, "discussing the activation of Iraq's role as a founding member state of the organization, raising the levels of contribution to its activities, and its role in strengthening the bonds of friendship between member states, as well as following up on the procedures for opening an office in the capital, Baghdad."
Al-Kazemi stressed, "the importance of the cooperation paths led by the organization, especially in dealing with the total number of current challenges and difficulties facing the countries of the region and the Islamic world."
