Earth News/ Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi stressed today, Wednesday, the need to activate Iraq's role in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation as a founding member of it.
A statement from Al-Kazemi's office, received by Earth News, said that the latter "received today, the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Youssef bin Muhammad Al-Dubaie, and his accompanying delegation."
He added that "the meeting witnessed a discussion of activating the role of Iraq as a founding member state of the organization, raising the levels of contribution to its activities, and its role in strengthening the bonds of friendship between member states, as well as following up on the procedures for opening an office in the capital, Baghdad."
Al-Kazemi stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of the cooperation paths led by the organization, especially in dealing with the total number of challenges and current difficulties facing the countries of the region and the Islamic world."
