    [rtl]Today, Thursday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi called on his Egyptian counterpart Hanafi Jabali to visit the capital, Baghdad, while the two sides discussed activating tripartite cooperation between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan .[/rtl]
    [rtl]The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives stated, in a statement, that "House of Representatives Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi and the accompanying delegation met today, Thursday, the Egyptian Parliament Speaker, Counselor Hanafi Jabali, on the sidelines of the 32nd conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union ."[/rtl]
    [rtl]The statement added, "At the beginning of the meeting, Chancellor Al-Jabali congratulated Al-Halbousi on the occasion of his re-election as Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament in its fifth session, wishing him success in his duties ."[/rtl]
    [rtl]The meeting discussed, according to the statement, "bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, strengthening cooperation in all fields, and activating tripartite cooperation (Iraq - Egypt - Jordan) ."[/rtl]
    [rtl]Al-Halbousi stressed, "The Iraqi parliament is keen to continue cooperation, coordination and strategic integration, whether at the bilateral or tripartite levels," directing it an official invitation to "visit Baghdad ."[/rtl]
    [rtl]For his part, Counselor Al-Jabali affirmed "his country's keenness to strengthen and develop its relations with Iraq towards broader horizons within the framework of the unity of destiny and challenges, and in response to the common interests of the two brotherly countries ."[/rtl]
