Independent MP Amir Al-Maamouri said, today, Monday, that the failure to set a date for a session of Parliament means the continuation of the political impasse and the lack of consensus of the blocs.
Al-Maamouri indicated that the failure to reach a political agreement will hinder the next session of Parliament, even if the date has been set, indicating that there is no evidence of consensus regarding the personality of the next president so far.
Politicians and deputies believe that holding a tripartite meeting that brings together al-Sadr with Barzani and al-Halbousi may enhance the chances of getting out of the political crisis, which means resolving the issue that has been hampered by differences, which is the election of a president of the republic.
