The Information / Dhi Qar … The Dhi Qar
Oil Company revealed, today, Saturday, the extent of the damage caused by the stopping of the Nasiriyah oil field (Al-Kata’a), by demonstrators in Al-Batha district, west of the governorate.
The official of the media department in the Dhi Qar Oil Company, Haider Sajet, told Al-Maalouma News Agency, "The company's decision to stop the work of the Nasiriyah oil field due to its besieging by the protesters, resulted in the stopping of subsidizing the electricity network stations with the gas that operates it in the province.
Sagit added that "the company assessed the extent of the damage caused by the closure of the Nasiriyah oil field, including stopping the export of more than 60 thousand barrels per day."
He pointed out that "the closure decision led to the suspension of the daily gas-powered electricity grid stations supporting more than 18 million cubic feet, and the inauguration of the 14-node pipeline extending from the Nassiriya field to the vehicle station for the production of electric power in Nasiriyah."
Yesterday, Friday, the management of the Dhi Qar Oil Company decided to stop work on the Nasiriyah gas isolation station, and stop oil production operations there, after closing the oil site due to demonstrations and sit-ins from the surrounding tribes. End / 25 BC
