The expert on the Iraqi constitution, Hassan Al-Yasiri, confirmed that the constitutional timings are restricted and binding, while noting that violating them puts Parliament at risk of breach.
Al-Yasiri said that the constitution has established time periods known as constitutional timings in order to complete the process of forming the government, and the steps that precede it and follow it from others, pointing out that these timings are binding and restrictive for Parliament and all authorities, and stoppages that may not be violated in any way.
Al-Yasiri added that violating these timings would inevitably cause Parliament to violate the constitution, regardless of the reason for the violation and its merits.
