Finance Minister Ali Abdel Amir Allawi confirmed today, Saturday, that the draft law to support the poor will be presented to the Council of Ministers in the coming days.
And the media office of the Ministry of Finance stated, in a statement, that “after the parliament session, which was held last Monday, Finance Minister Ali Abdel Amir Allawi presented an official proposal to the members of the Council, which includes a government draft law to support the poor and the weak in the current global financial crisis,” noting that “the draft law It aims to help vulnerable groups in society, increase social protection allocations, and allocate sums of money to improve the ration card system.”
He added, "The proposal also included allocating funds to support youth projects, in addition to allocating funds to improve pension salaries for retirees and families of martyrs."
The Minister of Finance said, according to the statement, that "the draft law will be presented through the official contexts of the Council of Ministers in the coming days."
He expressed his hope that the bill would be passed through the House of Representatives, to achieve the goals of supporting the poorest segments and reviving the economic situation.
