, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs confirmed, on Sunday, that it will work to solve the problem of double salary for some beneficiaries of the full-time appointment clause who have a social assistance salary.
A statement by the ministry, which Mawazine News received a copy of, stated that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Dr. Alaa Al-Sakini, received a number of representatives of people with disabilities in the presence of the Administrative Deputy of the Commission for the Care of People with Disabilities and Special Needs Ali Al-Helou on Sunday, 6/3-2022. He listened to their demands, especially with regard to the double salary between the social benefit and the full-time appointee.
The undersecretary said that the ministry's doors are open to all segments and citizens to identify problems or obstacles in order to overcome them and direct their treatment, indicating that there is a priority in paying attention to the weak segments included in the file of social protection and people with disabilities.
He explained that the Social Protection Law requires cash benefits, whether for individuals or families, not to receive a salary from the state, noting that the ministry will work to solve the problem of double salary for some beneficiaries of the full-time appointee who have a social welfare salary through a number of recommendations, the most important of which is that the ministry It will not stop the salary of the full-time appointee and will decide to wait to recover the amounts and not to claim them retroactively, as well as to wait on the issue of the head of the family who receives a salary from social protection and the full-time appointee.
He indicated that the ministry will address the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers regarding the recovery of funds for beneficiaries with disabilities who have social assistance and to submit a proposal to extinguish the debts owed by them for the purpose of obtaining a decision in this regard.
