    On Tuesday, Representative of the State of Law, Alia Nassif, revealed the details of the interrogation of Baghdad Mayor Alaa Maan on charges of corruption and administrative violations, calling on the Presidency of the House of Representatives to facilitate the procedures for questioning any minister or official who failed in his work.
    Nassif said in a statement, to / the information / that "the interrogation of the Mayor of Baghdad, Alaa Maan Agency, will consist of 11 questions, 5 of which are related to financial and administrative corruption, and 6 are related to administrative violations, and that the legal and formal procedures for questioning the Mayor of Baghdad concerning financial and administrative corruption have been completed."
    She added that "the representative has oversight and legislative authority, and therefore we call for facilitating the task of the representative in questioning any of the ministers and officials inside the parliament."
    Nassif stressed, "the need for everyone to understand the principle of separation of powers and to stay away from political courtesies that stand in opposition to the questioning of the corrupt," stressing that "she continued to interrogate the mayor of Baghdad under the dome of Parliament regarding financial and administrative corruption, in addition to administrative and legal violations."
