    Books / Iyad Al-Samawi..
The question is what if the political blocs failed to reach consensus on a particular candidate and the House of Representatives failed with it to elect a president of the republic, and the parliament exceeded the constitutional period specified in the constitution, which requires the election of a president of the republic within thirty days from the date of the first meeting of the parliament according to Article (72/second/ B) of the Iraqi constitution?? What to do and what is the solution to this constitutional dilemma?? Will the current parliament lose its constitutional legitimacy if it fails to elect a president?? ..
Let him put it in accordance with the provisions of the constitution and the law and answer the question, what if the House of Representatives fails to elect a president of the republic?? ..
