The Iraqi Parliament addresses the Public Prosecution regarding a piece of land donated by the “Baath” to a Qatari

On Wednesday, the Iraqi parliament called on the Public Prosecution Service to seize a 34-acre plot of land in the city of Kadhimiya in Baghdad that the “Baathist” regime gave to a Qatari citizen.
The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, the head of the Public Prosecution, addressed to take legal measures to preserve the money and property of Iraqis wasted by the former regime, as the latter was illegally granting lands to Arab and foreign people or based on the laws that allow this procedure.
Al-Zamili demanded, in an official letter, to “reserve the property file for the plot numbered (m/3/9/m32) on the beaches of Al-Tajiyat, which has an area of more than (34 acres) in the city of Kadhimiya, which was given by the Baath regime without right or legal authority to a foreign person carrying Qatari nationality, called (Hamad bin Ali bin Jabr Al Thani), dated 11/18/2000, and a sale transaction is currently underway in favor of “Abha Company” for real estate investments based on the decision of the Al-Kadhimiya Court of First Instance No. (740B 2004) on 13/6/2004 ″.
According to the book, the aforementioned court decision loses its executive force based on the provisions of Article (112) of the Execution Law No. (45) for the year 1980, which states: “If the judgment or the document deposited for implementation is left and its owner has not reviewed it for 7 years from the date of the last transaction (it shall lapse Its executive power)”, and that what is surprising is that the Director General of the Real Estate Registration Department, an agency in the Ministry of Justice, issued two books in the current year in which he directs the Real Estate Registration Directorate in Kadhimiya to register the property in favor of the company despite the passage of (15) years since the ruling was issued, and this also violates Article (114). ) of the law enforcement.
Al-Zamili called for "not to conduct any disposal transaction on the aforementioned property until the investigation into the matter is completed."
