Baghdad - INA - Nassar Al-Hajj
, a representative of the Alliance of Designation, Ali Al-Machkoor, confirmed today, Friday, that many paragraphs of the constitution need a comprehensive amendment.
Al-Maskoor said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "there are many paragraphs in the constitution that need a comprehensive amendment, especially the articles with which we had to go to the Federal Court."
He added, "The constitution and its paragraphs are supposed to be clear and address all cases that the country may go through, and therefore it is self-evident that many of these paragraphs be updated and amended."
Earlier, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zeidan, called for the Iraqi constitution to be amended.
