Earth News/ The Border Ports Authority announced today, Sunday, the seizure of (16) containers containing medicines and medical supplies in violation of the terms and controls of import at the northern port of Umm Qasr.
A statement by the authority received by Earth News stated, "The North Umm Qasr Port Directorate, with its efforts and its own information, was able to seize (16) containers containing medicines and medical supplies in violation of import terms and controls that were intended for smuggling."
The statement added that "a fundamentalist seizure report has been organized and the case has been referred to the Kumaruk Umm Qasr Police Station to present the matter to the investigative judge to take appropriate legal measures against the violators."
