Hussain said in his speech at the 48th meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, that "Iraq achieved victories over ISIS that proved the country's democratic pluralistic identity," adding that "Iraq and the world have become more secure after these historic victories."
He stressed the importance of concerted efforts to "combat all forms of discrimination," noting the need to work to activate and implement all decisions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
According to the foreign minister, the government has put "reconstructing the liberated cities and returning the displaced as a top priority," calling on the OIC countries and the international community "to stand with Iraq in returning the Iraqi antiquities."
