Sovereignty Alliance: Parliament will achieve a quorum in Saturday's session, and Riber Ahmed is our candidate for the presidency
Shafaq News / The Sovereignty Alliance, led by Khamis al-Khanjar, considered on Tuesday that a quorum for the parliament session would be achieved to elect the President of the Republic of Iraq in the presence of independent representatives, while affirming the Triple Alliance's adherence to the nomination of Reber Ahmed for the position.
The representative of Sovereignty Youssef Al-Sabawi's coalition told Shafaq News Agency that "the Saturday session will contain the element of surprise after moving on the independent deputies to participate in the session of electing the president of the republic."
The representative of the Dagger Alliance continued, "The number of deputies of the Triple Alliance exceeds 190 deputies, and the number of independent deputies is more than 40, and with the participation of independent deputies in the session, the quorum will be achieved to elect the President of the Republic."
Al-Sabawi indicated that "the Kurdistan Democratic Party's candidate, Reber Ahmed, is the candidate of the Triple Alliance for the post of President of the Republic, and that the Triple Alliance is committed to electing Ahmed for the post of President of the Republic."
