The head of the "For the People" coalition, MP Alaa Al-Rikabi, announced that his bloc's deputies will enter the presidential election session next Saturday.
Al-Rikabi said, "Without the independent representatives, there will not be a disabled third in Parliament, and without them, the quorum will not be complete," pointing out that "all parties need the position of the independent representatives with them."
He added, "We have a constitutional duty and we must adhere to the constitutional timings," stressing: "We will enter the presidential election session and we will not break the quorum."
He continued, "We have a candidate from the New Generation Movement for the presidency, and we will move towards not breaking the quorum in next Saturday's session."
He pointed out that "his movement is committed to forming a positive opposition within the parliament," stressing that "his movement put forward a 13-point initiative to the political forces that includes the demands of the Iraqi people." Ended 29 / p. 87
