Shafaq News/ The head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, called on Britain, on Thursday, to play a positive role in the relationship between the Iraqi components, and indicated that the upcoming parliament session will be "fatal", fearing the "collapse" of the political process, the British ambassador confirmed his country's support for the government. The head of the State of Law coalition indicated that "the upcoming parliament session is crucial in terms of forming the government," explaining that "the coordination framework and its allies adhere to the constitutional and legal frameworks in its formation (the guarantor third), which we will make as a basis for achieving stability and preserving the political process from collapse."
According to the statement, the British ambassador expressed "his country's keenness to strengthen and develop bilateral relations with Iraq, and Britain's support for a comprehensive Iraqi government in which all parties participate."
Next Saturday, the Iraqi parliament is scheduled to hold a special session to elect the president of the republic, where the "Save the Homeland" coalition announced "Reber Ahmed" as a candidate for the post of President of the Republic and "Jaafar al-Sadr" to head the next government.
