    On Thursday, the Ministry of Commerce announced the launch of the second portion of the Ramadan basket next Sunday, while noting that the food basket had achieved great success within the national project that contributed to providing foodstuffs and supporting the citizen.
    The Minister of Commerce, Alaa Al-Jubouri, said in a statement received by the agency, Al-Maalouma, that "the launch of the second quota of the Ramadan basket, which was approved by the Council of Ministers, will be as of next Sunday, the twenty-seventh of March, in Baghdad and the provinces."
    Al-Jubouri called on food agents, starting from the poorest areas, according to the outputs of the Ministry of Planning, to “review the sales centers belonging to the General Company for Foodstuff Trade in all governorates of the country for the purpose of cutting foodstuffs.”
    He pointed out that "the preparation of the second meal does not conflict with the preparation of the first Ramadan meal, as the sites of the food company continue with the processing operations in all governorates of the country and at an increasing pace."
    He stressed that "the food basket has achieved great success within the national project, which contributed to providing food and supporting the citizen," noting that "the share of one person in this meal will be (3 kg of rice, 1 kg of sugar, half a kg of lentils, half a kg of sugar). crushed chickpeas, a liter of oil, 400 gm of tomato paste).
    He called on citizens to "cooperate with the ministry to report violations through the announced hotlines or through the official Facebook website of the ministry or company, or to apply through the (Raqibni) electronic service link." End/25
