In a festive atmosphere, the coordination framework issued the first comment on the failure of the presidential election session.

Al-Maliki considered the failure of the presidential election session as a "guarantee" that Iraq would not return to "chaos and sectarianism."
The leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, said in a statement from his home, "First of all, we thank all the deputies who realized the danger of the passage of the approved contexts in the procedures for electing the president of the republic, and understood the danger of the phenomenon of marginalization and cancellation and bypassing contexts as long as the Iraqi issue was ruled."
Al-Maliki added, amid the voices of "Al-Hilhal" and the throwing of sweets, "What happened today is a victory for the guarantor third and this will that ensured Iraq's return from chaos and the return of sectarianism," stressing that "the framework does not want anyone to be excluded, we do not believe in marginalization and exclusion, and we want everyone satisfied and content."
He continued by saying, "Whoever wants to go to the opposition is free, but we do not want a party, group or component to push toward the opposition, and we want to absorb and contain the negative effects of the elections."

Al-Maliki stressed, “What happened today is the beginning of a strong stage to correct the march and ensure its protection from any vibration or twisting that may lead to unimaginable results,” noting that the framework “opens its heart to those who want to contain the crisis to form a government that performs its duty to protect Iraq’s unity and interests.” The masses, and this does not happen in an atmosphere of quarrels and quarrels, but through unity and meeting on the common denominators and commonalities required by the situation of Iraq, which is going through a serious crisis.
Al-Maliki stressed the need to "sit down to the negotiating table," calling on all political parties to "sit down to agree on a new path."
For his part, the leader of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Qais al-Khazali, said, "We thank the political forces' understanding of the need to reach a correct and unified program for governance by agreeing on the government's work program instead of agreeing on people."
Khazali added, "Our joy is great today. This third represents the majority of the Iraqi people in the center and the south, and therefore it is a message to others so that they do not look at the framework through the number of its seats."
Khazali continued, "The framework is proceeding with a voice of rationality and is clear in not convulsing and making concessions, but will not accept breaking wills."

Earlier, the House of Representatives adjourned its regular session after failing to achieve a quorum for electing the President of the Republic.
And the Media Department of the House of Representatives stated, "The Presidency of the Council decided to adjourn the session to next Monday, March 28."
In turn, the Speaker of the Council, Muhammad al-Halbousi, set March 30 for a new session to elect the president of the republic.
And the independent representative, Mohamed Anouz, confirmed, earlier, that the session to elect the president of the republic had been postponed in light of the lack of a quorum of the absolute majority.
Anouz said in a statement, "We performed our parliamentary duty. The attendance so far has reached 202."
He added, that the presidential election session was postponed for a quarter of an hour.
Today, the House of Representatives held its regular session No. 4 for the first legislative term.
And the media department of the parliament said in a statement that "Ultra Iraq" received a copy of it, that "the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, opened the work of the session in the presence of 202".
The agenda published earlier included the election of the President of the Republic.
Mishaan al-Jubouri, a leader in the Sovereignty Alliance, said that "the quorum was not complete in the session."
And he explained in a tweet on Twitter, followed by "Ultra Iraq", that "the regular session is available by adding a new paragraph to the session's agenda."
Indeed, the House of Representatives voted to add a paragraph to its agenda.
Members of the House of Representatives vote on the members of the Parliamentary Finance Committee.
The coordination framework announced sending the heads of 4 blocs, namely Ahmed Al-Asadi, Bahaa Al-Nour, Faleh Al-Sari and Mustafa Al-Khazali, to Parliament to follow up on the mechanisms of holding the presidential election session or not.
The fourth session of Parliament comes more than 5 months after the legislative elections were held on October 10.
Parliament had approved the names of 40 candidates for the position of President of the Republic, most notably the Kurdistan Democratic Party candidate "Reber Ahmed Barzani" in front of his rival, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan candidate Barham Salih.
