    Abdullah expressed his hope that rainfall will occur during the month of next April, otherwise the country will rely exclusively on securing water storage on what is provided by moderate amounts of snowmelt within the northern regions of the country and the Tigris and Euphrates basins.
    He pointed out that "the rice and yellow corn crops, and because of their need for large quantities of water, the country may reduce the area of ​​their cultivation, with an emphasis on planting winter crops of wheat and barley for the next season, in light of global market indicators of increased demand for wheat and barley."
