The independent politician Younis Muhammad confirmed, on Monday, that the parliament session next Wednesday is pregnant with surprises.

Muhammad said in an interview with Al-Information, that "the current data indicates that the balance tends to the coordination framework, as it is the guarantor third in the political equation, especially since the Sunni house is not united, and it takes its guarantees from the Kurdish side, not the Arab, which generated problems in this path, but in all cases Wednesday’s session will be full of surprises.”
He added, "Agreeing on names to be put forward in Wednesday's session as candidates for the posts of the presidency and ministers may be the beginning of a solution and rapprochement between the framework and the rest of the political forces, but in all cases the framework will remain the guarantor third that cannot be exceeded, especially since the quorum to pass the candidate of the President of the Republic needs 220 deputies."
He pointed out that "if there is a consensus in Wednesday's session, and this matter is not excluded, it will be the beginning of a breakthrough for the political blockage, but in any case, the next 48 hours will be the one who will decide all the options presented."
The Presidency of the House of Representatives has set next Wednesday a date to vote on a candidate for the position of President of the Republic, “ending 25 February.”
