    Baghdad hosted the meetings of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media for the first time, with the participation of 21 countries, and it will issue recommendations and decisions for the development of Arab media.
    The Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media in the League of Arab States, Dr. Nabil Jassim, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Permanent Committee for Arab Media in the League of Arab States is one of the ancient and ancient committees and constitutes an important nerve in the body of the Arab League."
    He added, "Baghdad's embrace of the work of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media has important dimensions and momentum for Iraq under the umbrella of the Arab League, in addition to the fact that there is a meeting of the Executive Office of the Arab League Council that will be held tomorrow, Thursday."
    He pointed out that "the meetings will be a continuation of the payment of important files and a different and positive mood because Iraq is a part of it and at its head," noting that "the countries present in the meetings of the Permanent Committee will be 21 countries."
    For his part, the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The meetings are of particular importance in the context of the general Arab situation and the follow-up to the decisions and recommendations issued in the last session of the Ministers of Information, both with regard to the Palestinian issue and its developments as one of the fixed items. In addition to other provisions related to the strategy of the Arab media or the movement of the Arab media, as well as combating terrorism in all its forms and spreading the culture of coexistence because the media has a role in spreading the culture of tolerance.
    He pointed out that "the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States is keen to provide all facilities to the presidency of the Republic of Iraq to make the events successful and organize them in the best conditions with the active participation of member states and practicing organizations and unions with the observer status of the Council."
    "We look forward from Baghdad to reaching practical recommendations and decisions regarding the development of Arab media, whether private or public," he added.
    On the sidelines of the preparations, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Sudan and head of the digital tax team of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media Nasr Al-Din Ahmed Muhammad Khaled said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The working group on digital and audiovisual broadcasting held a meeting yesterday in the capital, Baghdad. To discuss digital content monitoring,” noting that “the participants discussed digital content data and related legislation and ways of follow-up and monitoring to protect the values ​​of the Arab community and work to reduce weak content, as well as dealing with various international websites providing audio and video services, through a technical committee affiliated to the Standing Committee for Arab Media of to the General Secretariat of the Arab League.
    He added, "We look forward to coming up with useful recommendations that serve the Arab countries in the media, economically and scientifically," explaining that "the recommendations will be submitted to the Permanent Committee of Arab Media."
