    Iraq ranked fifth as the largest importer from Turkey, after Turkish exports and imports increased by 25.4% and 44.5%, respectively, in February 2022.
    Turkish exports in this month amounted to "20 billion and 4 million dollars, an increase of 25.4 percent, compared to the same month in 2021," while "Turkey's imports in February amounted to 27 billion and 885 million dollars, registering an increase of 44.5 percent, for the same period in 2021. According to the report of the Turkish Statistics Authority.
    The report indicated that "Iraq came fifth in Turkish exports to the world last February, with a value of one billion and 70 million dollars, while Germany was the main partner country for exports with one billion and 785 million dollars, followed by the United States of America with one billion and 299 million dollars, and then came The United Kingdom third with one billion and 98 million dollars and Italy fourth with one billion and 85 million dollars,” noting that “the proportion of the first five countries of the total exports amounted to 31.7% in February 2021.”
    The value of Turkish exports to Iraq from January to February 2022 amounted to $953 billion, and the first five countries accounted for 32% of the total exports in the period from January to February 2022.
    Iraq imports most goods, merchandise and foodstuffs from neighboring countries, especially Turkey and Iran, and to a lesser extent than the Arab Gulf states and Jordan.
