Nearly 4 billion dollars in sales of the Central Bank of Iraq during a month
Shafak News Agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold during the month of March, during the days when it opened its auction for buying and selling US dollars, 3 billion, 803 million and 565 thousand dollars, at a rate of 181 million, 122 thousand, and 231 dollars per day, higher than in February. In the past, the average sales amounted to 3 billion, 659 million, and 685,000 dollars.
Our correspondent added that the increase in the bank's total sales came as a result of its dollar sales exceeding $200 million per day, starting on March 22.
Our correspondent indicated that most of these sales went in the form of remittances abroad to finance foreign trade, while the selling price of the dollar transferred to bank accounts abroad, in addition to the cash sale, amounted to 1460 dinars per dollar.
