[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]2 hours ago39Jamila Al-Obaidi, a former member of the House of Representatives from Nineveh Governorate, said today, Monday, that Muhammad Al-Halbousi's ascension for the second time to the presidency of the House of Representatives came with Turkish and Gulf foreign support, noting that people like him are not expected from them.
Al-Obaidi said in a press statement, "Popular support for any political figure to occupy executive and legislative positions has gone towards granting administrative centers and lavishing large funds and gifts to community and clan figures, and this is actually what is happening."
She added, "Mohammed al-Halbousi's ascension for the second time to the presidency of the House of Representatives came due to the Turkish and Gulf funds, which have achieved great strides in his ambition to lead the Sunni component, but we should not expect good from him."
