The confinement of arms and the economy in the hands of the state sparked disagreements between al-Sadr and his opponents

Baghdad / Tamim Al-Hassan
The "coordinating framework" is trying to drag the Sadrist movement to open the door to negotiations again by "reviewing" its capabilities in communicating with the rest of the political parties, and promoting its latest initiative.
Al-Sadr, on the other hand, has categorically rejected dialogue on the basis of “consensuality,” which he considers “a door to squandering wealth,” even if this causes a continuing “political blockage.”
It seems that everyone has exhausted the solutions to dismantle the crisis that began last October, until it came to calling for the constitution to be amended.
And the day before yesterday, the “Al-Sadr deadline” entered its first day, which was set at about 40 days, starting from the beginning of the month of Ramadan, until the end of the Eid holiday.
And give the leader of the Sadrist movement, his opponents the green light to proceed with the formation of the government, with the commitment of his current "neutrality" full and non-interference "neither positive nor negative."
And circles close to the Sadrists indicate to (Al-Mada), that the leader of the movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, "believes that returning to consociationalism means distributing wealth among the parties' economies."
Over the past years, the parties have established “economic offices” whose mission is to manage the financial aspects, and these offices are accused of concluding “suspicious deals” and “extortion” of ministries.
According to the scarce leaks from behind the scenes due to the Sadrists declaring "media silence" since last Saturday, that "Al-Sadr's project" is based on "restricting power and the economy in the hands of the state."
According to the sources, the “coordinating framework” fears that “Al-Sadr is alone in the government” from several issues, including “cutting the nails of some armed factions and bringing some senior figures accused of corruption to justice.”
Those sources indicated that the leader of the Sadrist movement "informed the coordination framework of this project, and it was one of the most important reasons for the dispute between the two parties."
On this basis, the "Coordination Council" is trying by various means to "obstruct the Sadr project", and adheres to the hypothesis of forming the largest Shiite bloc.
Al-Sadr had published a tweet last Wednesday, directing his words to the coordination framework, in which he said, "What you call a political blockage is easier than agreeing with you, and better than sharing the cake with you."
And he added in the tweet, which came after the failure of the Triple Alliance for the second time to hold a session in Parliament to elect the President of the Republic: “There is no good in a consensus government.”
The positions of the “Coordination Committee” on crisis management during “Al-Sadr’s deadline” conflict between the attempt to “promote” the initiative of the Shiite gathering, and those who lost the solution.
And "manners" are leaking news of the intention of the leader of the Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, to go to Al-Hanana to hand over to "Al-Sadr" the latest coordination framework initiative.
They are also leaking information about close negotiations with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, conducted by former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
On the other hand, Hadi al-Amiri, head of the "Al-Fateh" coalition, had met the ambassadors of 3 European countries in Baghdad during the past two days.
During those meetings, Al-Amiri spoke with the ambassadors of (Germany, Britain, Italy), about the coordination framework initiative, and not to give up on "forming the largest bloc."
In the same regard, Ammar al-Hakim, the leader of the Wisdom Movement and one of the parties to the "Coordination Committee", considered that the solution is through dialogue.
Al-Hakim, who confirmed that he would not participate in the next government in a televised meeting, attacked Al-Sadr and his allies, and said that "the political elites and the people so far do not know the plan and programs of the tripartite alliance to run the state."
And information had reached (the extent) that the coordination framework had become “almost helpless” due to the withdrawal of al-Sadr and the announcement of his partners, the Democratic Party and the Sunni forces, of their commitment within the coalition.
And digital platforms affiliated with the “framers” quoted the statement of Ahmed al-Moussawi, a member of the Shiite bloc, that he ruled out reaching an agreement soon to form a government.
Those platforms said that al-Moussawi said that "the deadline for the Sadrist movement will not lead to any agreement without a Shiite consensus."
The meeting lasted for several hours at the home of the head of the "Coalition of State of Law" Nuri al-Maliki, after al-Sadr announced the period of "40 days", in which the "Coordinating Committee" launched an initiative to resolve the crisis.
The initiative repeated the same previous clauses during the crisis period that began 5 months ago, and called for “dialogue” and the formation of a larger bloc with “Al-Sadr.”
A statement by the facilitators said after the last meeting, that the initiative focuses on several principles, including "commitment to the constitutional terms and registration of the most numerous bloc of the two parties (the coordination framework and the Sadrist movement)."
In addition to “agreeing on the candidate for the position of prime minister in accordance with the required conditions and criteria, such as competence, integrity and independence, and this will be through a joint committee of the coordination framework and the Sadrist bloc.”
In its initiative, the Coordination Framework stressed the importance of having an agreement on the government program within a specific time limit to be agreed upon. Those who wish from the winning blocs that adhere to the program participate in managing its implementation. Those qualified to run the country are nominated, provided that they are characterized by competence, integrity and competence.
So far, the Sadrist movement has not commented on its opponent's initiative, which is believed to have come late, as the leader of the movement preceded them by declaring his "retreat" throughout the month of Ramadan, even after the Eid holiday.
In turn, Ghaleb Al-Daami, a researcher in political affairs, says that "the crisis may not continue until the end of the 40 days, as a surprise may occur."
Al-Daami added, in connection with (Al-Mada), that "part of the boycotters may move to the side of the Triple Alliance, and then the President of the Republic will pass and form the government."
The political researcher believes that the continuation of the state of obstruction "is severely pressing the coordination framework and it will not remain coherent for a long time."
