A member of Al-Fateh Alliance Ghazanfar Al-Batekh confirmed, on Saturday, that Al-Halbousi seeks to transform Parliament from the legislative authority to the executive, following the recent decisions he took to ensure the survival of the presidency in the upcoming elections.
Al-Bateekh said in a statement to the "Information" agency, "Muhammad Al-Halbousi and Al-Zamili are seeking to transfer the House of Representatives from the legislative authority to the executive authority, especially since their dispute came after the decisions they took from within Parliament," noting that "their differences will pave the way for the separation of the Triple Alliance."
He added that "the dispute between Al-Halbousi and Al-Zamili reflects negatively on the citizen," noting that "they are trying to prove themselves by exploiting the Presidency of Parliament."
And he indicated that "Al-Halbousi is trying to transform parliament from the legislative authority to the executive authority, especially in the western and liberated governorates, to ensure the survival of the presidency in the upcoming elections."
Al-Zamili and Al-Halbousi, earlier, exchanged official books published in the media, talking about the powers of each party and questioning some of the powers between the two sides.
