, the Investigation Department of the Integrity Commission announced, on Sunday, the implementation of two arrests of two officials in the Hilla Municipality Directorate, for "wasting public money and harming the interests of the party they work for."
In a statement received by Mawazine News, the department stated, "The staff of the Babylon Investigation Office seized the property division official in the Hilla municipality, as there was a tampering in the record of the allocation of 128 residential plots to the employees of the Real Estate Registration Directorate in Hilla," noting that "the accused added the names of persons Beneficiaries of the allocation previously, as well as the allocation of plots of land whose area exceeds the areas legally specified for allocation.
The department added that, "in a separate operation, the office's staff, which moved to the Directorate of the Municipality of Hilla, was able to seize the official who kept the store registry in the (Bab Al-Hussein) area in the governorate center," continuing that "the accused did not collect the rental allowance for (38) stores for the year 2021." ".
And she stressed, "The operation, which was carried out in coordination with law enforcement agencies in the governorate, resulted in stopping the waste of an amount of (200,000,000) million dinars," pointing to "the seizure of the origin of the records and files of the aforementioned stores."
The circuit indicated that “the organization of two fundamentalist arrest reports, and presenting them, together with the accused, and the criminal evidence, to the judge of the Hilla Investigation Court, which is competent to look into integrity issues, who decided to arrest them, based on the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code.” Ended 29/N33
