Baghdad - Aware - Wissam Mullah
Today, Monday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced the completion of the full numbers of the industrial city in Dhi Qar Governorate, while confirming that it will employ more than 20 thousand workers.
A spokesman for the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Haider Majid, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "There is a file of industrial cities and a special committee in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers oversees this file," noting that "the full preparation for the industrial city in Dhi Qar has been completed." The governorate began approaching local and international investment companies for the purpose of opening projects.
He pointed out that "the industrial city in Dhi Qar has small projects and small, medium and large factories, and this city will employ more than 20 thousand manpower, which will reflect positively on the economic side and the province."
He added that "there are industrial cities in the governorates of Basra, Anbar and Wasit that the Industrial Cities Authority is working on, and this authority was created to support the industrial cities," noting that "the Ministry of Industry is working to support the industrial cities project in those provinces."
