Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Planning announced that the current government will not submit the budget law to the House of Representatives.
The technical representative of the ministry, Maher Hammad, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The current government will not submit the budget law to the House of Representatives, but will leave it to the next government."
He added, "The emergency support law will address food security and projects until the new budget is approved."
The Prime Minister had called on the political forces to work hard to agree on a formula to form the government, carry out its duties and work on preparing the 2022 budget, and fulfilling its obligations towards citizens.
Meanwhile, the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, announced, earlier, a request to the government to send the 2022 budget, noting that this request is based on the law and the constitution.
