Today, Saturday, in an interview with Al-Hadath TV,  Iraqi Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar said that  Iraq  was under pressure to increase its oil production outside the scope of OPEC's production policy.
The minister added that OPEC is committed to providing the necessary oil supplies to make up for any shortfall in crude oil.
Earlier last year, Abdul-Jabbar said that his ministry aims to export 3.4 million barrels of oil per day during 2022; He stressed that his country would not ask for an exception to increase exports.
Abdul-Jabbar added, in a statement reported by the official news agency (INA), that "OPEC's policy is not to reduce or raise prices, but rather works to achieve continuity in energy supplies in the world."
Abdul-Jabbar added, "OPEC is proceeding with a natural increase of about 400,000 barrels per month, and there will be a re-review during the first quarter of 2022 regarding maintaining this increase."
He said at the time: "We are supposed to reach 3 million and 400 thousand barrels in the first quarter of 2022, which is our market share."
