    [size=45]On Friday, the Iraqi Marine Syndicate denounced what it called “the continuous and repeated abuses by the Coast Guard in the State of Kuwait against Iraqi fishermen, despite their failure to cross Kuwaiti territorial waters.[/size]
    [size=45]In a statement today, the union called on Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein, and Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi for immediate and serious intervention to resolve this issue.[/size]
    [size=45]The union stated that the fishermen have no means other than fishing to provide their daily sustenance.[/size]
    [size=45]Recently, the Kuwaiti authorities arrested a group of Iraqi fishermen in Iraqi territorial waters, in a case that has been repeated from time to time since the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime.[/size]
