Earth News/ The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, said today, Tuesday, that Iraq relies a lot on benefiting from the Dutch expertise in activating a number of vital files such as the construction and rehabilitation of dams.
And his media office stated, in a statement received by Earth News, that "Al-Zamili received in his office the Dutch ambassador to Iraq, Michel Rintenar, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Representative Shaima Al-Darraji."
Al-Zamili stressed that “Iraq relies a lot on benefiting from Dutch expertise in revitalizing a number of vital files such as constructing and rehabilitating dams, successful planning of the water file and finding ways to rationalize consumption, in addition to cooperation in the issues of addressing desertification and the drying of marshes and removing mines and remnants of war.”
For his part, the Dutch ambassador expressed "his country's keenness to maintain coordination and support joint activities between the two countries, especially in the field of developing parliamentary capabilities and economic development sectors, especially since Iraq is one of the most promising countries and has an attractive and distinguished environment for investment companies."
