Al-Maliki's coalition bloc records an objection to Al-Halbousi's visit to Iran
Shafaq News/ The State of Law coalition bloc led by Nuri al-Maliki accused, today, Wednesday, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi of adopting "selectivity, temperament and personal interests" in selecting members of the parliamentary delegation accompanying him on his visit to Iran.
The head of the Parliamentary State of Law bloc, Atwan Al-Atwani, said in a press statement received by Shafak News Agency, "We are surprised by the selectivity in choosing the delegation accompanying the Speaker of the House of Representatives on his visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, where moods and personal interests are at the expense of professionalism and parliamentary benefits represented by all parliamentary blocs with political weight." and Parliamentary".
He added that this visit took place without the knowledge of the rest of the members of the Presidency in Parliament.
Al-Atwani added, "We hope that this visit will not aim to establish personal interests or preserve presidential positions."
The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, arrived this morning, Wednesday, at the head of a parliamentary delegation, to the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Al-Halbousi visited Iran for the first time in March of 2018.
Al-Halbousi's visit to Tehran was postponed for a month due to the health protocols of the two countries and the illness of the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf.
