The head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, confirmed, on Thursday, that the coordination framework had stopped a dangerous project, while noting that the extension of Al-Kazemi's government was announcing the "death" of Parliament and the Constitution.
Al-Maliki said in a televised interview, "The political process did not witness overt interventions as is currently happening, and regional interference in Iraq has turned into giving" orders.
He added, "America is not satisfied with the project of political exclusion and has sent a warning to regional countries and Iraqi parties to stop the interference," noting that "the American vision differs from the British one in Iraq."
Al-Maliki pointed out, "The caretaker government has concluded contracts in violation of the constitution, and no one dares to extend the work of the Al-Kazemi government, and the extension of Al-Kazemi's government is a declaration of the "death" of Parliament and the constitution."
He continued, "The sixth month will be decisive in the political process, and contact with al-Sadr was limited and did not address the root cause of the problem."
Al-Maliki said, "The framework has stopped a dangerous project and we feel victorious, and Iraq is facing an international project, and I have information with 'minutes and numbers'."
"We told the Iranians not to interfere in the political process, and the constitution prohibits taking Iraqi territory as a starting point for targeting neighboring countries," he added.
Al-Maliki stressed that "the government should have been formed as soon as after the elections, and the problem is not limited to the two sides of the Shiite component only."
He pointed out that "choosing the president of the republic is the key to the solution to the political blockage, and whoever sought to form a government that excludes others fell into despair, and political norms have become stronger than the constitution."
Regarding the Turkish bombing, al-Maliki said that "the Kurds are unable to confront Turkey and the PKK, and Turkey is exploiting the political problems in Iraq."
He added, "Turkey will not do justice to the Kurds, and they must understand this, and the dispute between the two Kurdish parties is 'personal'."
And he indicated that "the political knot began in the Kurdish situation, and I have nothing to do with the return of any wanted person to the judiciary, and I have never interfered in judicial affairs."
He added, "The return of some wanted persons took place according to the legal context, but the lawsuits did not fall, and the issue of the return of some wanted persons was politicized, and the wanted returns have influence in Anbar and will affect the tripartite alliance."
Regarding the Basra-Aqaba pipeline project, Al-Maliki said, "We have installed floating platforms in the Gulf to raise oil exports, and the Basra-Aqaba pipeline project has existed since 1983."
He continued, "We stopped work on the project because of its proximity to Israel, and OPEC did not give us the right to open export," noting that "Basra's oil is depleted and export must be balanced."
He concluded his speech by saying: "27 trillion under the Food Security Law went to "other projects", and the allocation of 8.5 trillion to the ration card is problematic."
