Today, Tuesday, the leadership of the Sinjar Resistance Units "Al-Yabsha" issued a statement about the recent events in the Sinjar district, in which it strongly attacked the Iraqi government headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi, accusing it of carrying out the "orders" of the Turkish state, warning against the "occupation" of the land of Iraq.
And a statement issued by the leadership of the Sinjar Resistance Units regarding the security situation in the district stated, “For a while, the Al-Kazemi government has been trying to attack us and our people with various attempts that do not serve Iraq, but every time they try to shed blood and we made a great effort not to happen and deal with the situation.” With great sensitivity.”
He added, "At a time when we, as a people and a force, were preparing to receive the Yazidi New Year's Day to celebrate it together, the Al-Kazemi government attacked one of the points affiliated with Asayish Yazidkhan on the 17th of last April."
And he continued, "For the purpose of controlling these problems and knowing the intentions of these attempts, we made a great effort to solve them, but unfortunately on that night they attacked our forces and tried to control our gains and our forces, rob them and end them."
The statement also said, "Our people and their forces showed great resistance and moved for the purpose of not confusing the situation and controlling it, and we have become obliged to protect ourselves and our people in light of this situation."
And he continued, "This, despite three negotiations between us and the Al-Kazemi government, but they continued to mobilize forces and heavy weapons and were stationed on the northern side of Mount Sinjar in order to repeat his attacks."
He pointed out that "our forces and in order to stop these attempts and prevent these weapons from entering the compounds were forced to cut off some roads, but once again attacked our forces and our people with cannons, tanks and all the weapons owned by the Al-Kazemi government."
The statement accused, "Al-Kazemi's government of carrying out these attacks on the order of the Turkish state and with the help of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, as these attacks were carried out by the commander of the Mosul operations," considering that "Al-Kazemi's government takes these orders directly from the Turkish state and with the help of its address in the Kurdistan Democratic Party to meet their demands." .
He continued, "We say it again, the problem of Sinjar is not a military problem, but a political problem," explaining that "these attempts made by Al-Kazemi and his government pave the way for the occupation of Iraqi land, and the Iraqi people must realize this and have a stance towards these policies."
The statement indicated that "attempts to disarm the Yazidis and end the presence of forces at a time when Iraq is going through political and social crises pave the way for the emergence of extremist forces movements that have a threat to the government, especially to the Yazidis, and open the way for a repetition of the 2014 scenario."
Bayan al-Yabsha said, “We as a Yazidi community and throughout our history have faced many genocides. The main reason for this is that we did not possess a self-defense force, especially in 2014, when we were left on our own. We have the right to organize ourselves at the political and military level and to protect ourselves, so we will protect and protect.” ourselves, and we did not put our society without a self-power to protect us, and we will not accept these forms of attempts,” adding that “in the results of these attempts there were losses on both sides, as one of our comrades was martyred and three were injured, one of whom was a civilian.”
The statement also said, “We take a solution to problems by means of negotiation and democracy and aim for it. We are not against the Iraqi army, but we are against the policy of using the army for the benefit of external parties,” stressing, “We will protect ourselves against any attacks, so let what happens and we will protect the gains of our people, and in this way we will not take a step.” backwards".
The statement concluded by saying, "On this basis, our society must also support its forces, improve its resistance, and raise its struggle."
