Today, Wednesday, oil expert Kovind Sherwani revealed the reasons behind the drop in the price of oil exported from the Kurdistan region with the rest of the country's governorates.
Sherwani said, "The oil exported from the region is more dense and less expensive than Basra oil."
He added that "the region's oil revenues are less due to the deduction of production costs from the oil fields, the wages and expenses of operating the oil pipeline transported to Turkey, storage and export expenses in the Turkish port of Ceyhan, in addition to the payment of payments from previous debts to the oil companies investing in the region."
