, Head of the Al-Fateh Alliance Hadi Al-Amiri confirmed on Wednesday, during his meeting with the Spanish ambassador to Baghdad, that foreign forces have no right to stay in Iraq.
Al-Amiri said during his meeting with "Pedro Martinez - Avila Martin", that "the presence of any foreign forces in Iraq after the date of December 31, 2021 is illegal and has no right to stay."
He added, "The Iraqi-Spanish relations are old and we still maintain them, and we are keen to build and improve them and open new business horizons between Baghdad and Madrid."
Al-Amiri added, "We are still making every effort to resolve the political crisis, end the obstruction and find a government capable of taking responsibility and providing services to the Iraqi people."
For his part, the ambassador began his speech by "expressing condolences on the loss of the Deputy Secretary-General of Badr Organization Abdul Karim Al-Ansari, praying to God to bless him with his wide mercy."
He explained that "he was an ambassador in Iraq during the eighties of the last century and was one of the first diplomatic missions that were present in Baghdad, indicating that the Arab civilization has a great influence on the Spanish culture, traditions and language, indicating that his country is closer to the Arabs than the countries of Europe."
He added, "What concerns us is the sovereignty of Iraq in the first place, and the Spanish foreign policy adopts three pillars, one of which is building good relations with Arab countries, especially Iraq." Ended 29/p. 87
