Diyala grants an investment license to build a major residential city
The Director-General of the authority, Karim Diab Al-Azzawi, told Shafaq News Agency, that the Diyala Investment Authority granted a local company an investment license to build 740 housing units with an area of 150 m, 200 m, 250 m and 300 m according to the highest specifications, and it is similar to the project of the birth of a new city in the name of Al Wafaa Residential Complex on the outskirts of Baqubah in the region It is located between the old Baquba gas station and the Diyala Operations Command, which was previously affiliated with the Saad camp.
He added, "This investment license is the largest in the housing sector in the history of Diyala, and it reflects a desire by companies and investors to pump large sums of money into important sectors due to the presence of remarkable security stability, especially in Baquba."
Al-Azzawi indicated that "Al-Wafa residential complex also includes shopping centers (malls), a commercial center, gardens, kindergartens and schools, in addition to a health center at a cost of more than 120 billion dinars and on an area of 100 acres, while work has begun."
Baquba, the center of Diyala province, needs more than 20,000 housing units at the present time. The principle of stability has been achieved in the demand for housing units, according to specialists and government officials.
