The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced the vote of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization on Iraq hosting the meetings of the 97th session of the organization next October.
The ministry stated, in a statement received by Mawazine News, a copy of it, that "the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, the agency of Judge Salar Abdel Sattar, participated in an official delegation in the meetings of the 96th session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization held in Cairo," noting that "the session's meetings include selecting Arab labor pioneers. They will be honored in various fields and specializations of the organization, in the presence of Fayez Al-Mutairi, Director General of the Arab Labor Organization."
And she pointed out that "Iraq announced, at the beginning of the session's work, that it stood with the State of Palestine and its people in recovering their rights, as it is an observer member of the International Labor Organization as an observer state, in addition to Iraq being a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization," stressing that "the vote was unanimous."
